To date, DIT is an educational and support, cultural and educational section of KazGASA providing educational services from faculty to students, prospective students of KazGASA through modern information and educational technologies and providing academic and IT support in optimization of KazGASA learning process, implementation of test-rating system for knowledge control.

DIT performs a large range of different tasks. They include the assembly and adjustment of computers, configuration, and development of software for instructional and administrative purposes, development and maintenance of KazGASA website, administration and technical support of server and network equipment, maintenance of computers and office equipment, training seminars.

Computerization of KazGASA is based on a unified information and telecommunications network:  local area network (Intranet) with access to the Internet (Internet) is created, covering all the departments of the university, hire-education teaching personnel, students of all forms of education, also KazGASA area is covered by wireless internet. The solution of these tasks is provided by a powerful fleet of computer technology, multimedia equipment.

A system of automation of educational, financial institution processes was implemented. Students are provided with the necessary technical facilities and information technology that enables to receive quality education.

The main activities of DIT are:

·    introduction of new innovative methods of distance education;

• Provision of distance education using the intellectual potential of scientific - teaching staff;

• development and composition of e-books jointly with higher-education teaching staff;

• Provision of educational process, as well as KazGASA departments with promising computers with modern software and telecommunications, as well as video and audio equipment;

• monitoring of students' knowledge by using of modern information technologies;

• upgrading, diagnostics and repair of technical equipment, audio and video equipment used in educational process;

• timely and qualitative service of University mass organizational events.
