One of the indicators of the competitiveness and quality of higher education is the entry of universities into world academic rankings. From year to year, they have a great influence on higher education institutions and their environment, influencing, for example, decisions of future students to choose a university, the state policy for financing higher education institutions, as well as the way they are managed. It is extremely important for rating organizations to provide the public with the most objective picture of the situation of universities in relation to each other.
There are many different ratings, and a number of Kazakhstan universities are consistently showing good results.
The most popular national university ratings used by students in Kazakhstan are the ratings of the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) and the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR).
The International Education Corporation (Campus of the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering) takes a fairly strong position every year improving its results.
