KazGASA annually hosts the international Festival of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Design Schools of Eurasia, which was first initiated by the President of KazGASA prof. Kussainov Amirlan Aidarbekovich and Secretary General of TURKSOY prof. Kaseinov Dyusen Kurabaevich. Our Academy became the first Kazakh University to hold a large-scale event on the basis of a foreign university.
The festival began its history in 2009
Year of 2009
The I international Festival was held with the participation of 18 Eurasian universities from 7 countries. On the basis of Maltepe University in Turkey, 115 projects of the best graduate works were submitted to the international review competition.

Year of 2011
The II international Festival was held on the basis of the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civill Engineering, with the participation of representatives of 36 Eurasian universities from 8 countries. 200 final works were submitted to the international review competition.

The year of 2013
The III international Festival was on the basis of Yildiz Technical University with the participation of 38 Eurasian universities from 12 countries. 261 projects were submitted to the international review competition.

The year of 2014
IV international Festival was held on the shore of lake Issyk-Kul (Kyrgyzstan). 33 Eurasian universities from 8 countries.241 projects submitted to the international review competition.

The year of 2015
The V international Festival based on the Romualdo del Bianco Foundation in Florence. 37 Eurasian universities from 15 countries participated. 217 final works were submitted to the international review competition.

The year of 2016
The VI international Festival was held in the Middle East University of Northern Cyprus under the auspices of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 51 Eurasian universities from 18 countries participated, and 246 final papers were submitted to the international review competition.

The year of 2017
The VII international Festival was held at Samara State Technical University with the participation of 56 Eurasian universities from 18 countries. 332 projects were presented at the International competition.

The year of 2018
The VIII international Festival was hosted by the Technical University of Moldova, with the participation of representatives of 64 Eurasian universities from 17 countries. 383 projects were presented at the International competition.

The year of 2019
The IX international Festival was held in Uzbekistan with the participation of representatives of 85 Eurasian universities from 19 countries. 560 projects were presented at the International competition. Co-organized by the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering named after M. Ulugbek (SamGASI), Bukhara Engineering Technological Institute.
The representatives of 85 universities and organizations (49 of them in person and 34 in absentia) from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Romania, Georgia, Armenia (in absentia), Israel (in absentia), South Korea (in absentia), Lithuania (in absentia), the Netherlands (in absentia), Italy (in absentia), Bulgaria (in absentia) attended the festival.
The Festival program included the following main events: opening; summing up the results of the international competition review; signing agreements between universities; excursions to historical sights of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara; awarding diplomas to graduates of the international competition review; meeting with the teaching staff and students of the co-organizer universities. After the official opening ceremony of the IX-International festival, rectors of participating universities signed a number of agreements on cooperation between universities and organizations. In the afternoon, a tour to the city of Tashkent was organized for the participants. On November 15, 2019, the international review-competition of final works in the categories of architecture, design, construction, production of building materials, products and structures, geodesy and cartography, cadastre and land management took place on the basis of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the faculty of Architecture. On November 16-18, 2019, Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering named after M. Ulugbek (SamGASI) and the Bukhara Engineering Technological Institute prepared interesting programs for the festival participants.
During the days of the IX-International festival in Uzbekistan, participants were completely immersed in the atmosphere of unparalleled hospitality, amazing acquaintance with the history, traditions and customs of the Uzbek people.
