WorldSkills is an international non-profit movement that aims to increase the prestige of working professions and develop skills. The WorldSkills movement, including EuroSkills, attracts young people to the development of working professions and provides opportunities for young professionals in the country to demonstrate their professional skills and competencies on the world stage.
The mission of WorldSkills Kazakhstan is to create mechanisms for staffing high-tech industries in technical professions based on international standards, including mechanisms for professional orientation, training, forming expert communities and improving labor productivity.
Main objective:
1. Identification of the world's best practices of professional training of young people and their implementation in the system of technical and professional education (hereinafter- ТiPO (Technical and professional Education) of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2. Stimulation of innovative processes and introduction of new training technologies in the TPE system of Kazakhstan;
3. Development of the expert community of Kazakhstan through regular methodological assistance to improve training programs;
4. Increasing the status of the working person and the prestige of technical professions.
Kazakhstan joined the international organization WorldSkills in 2014 and holds regional, interregional and national professional skill Championships in more than 50 competencies. In addition, this year's competition includes competencies that will help form an idea of the professions and skills FutureSkills need for a future career in a rapidly changing world.
In 2018 KazGASA College took part for the first time and became a platform for the following competencies in the World Skills Almaty regional championship: tiling, brickwork, information modeling technology (BIM), graphic design.
From April 15 to April 19, 2019, Regional Championship WorldSkills Kazakhstan 2019 was held in Almaty.
The opening and closing of the championship took place in a festive atmosphere at the Almaty Schoolchildren’s Palace. This year, 39 applications for competence were submitted, which is 13 more competencies than last year. These days 210 participants and 318 experts worked at the competition sites. The WorldSkills Championship is an authoritative event, which is held all over the world, these are competencies, i.e., competition for the implementation of work activities and skills.
The KazGASA College was represented by 6 participants in the following competencies: tiling, bricklaying, information modeling technology (BIM), CAD engineering graphics. Shogelova Nazym Tulegenovna was appointed the main regional expert on the competence of “information modeling technology (BIM)”, Toktamys Tolendi Illyasovich- on the competence of “tiling”.
According to the results of the championship our participants were recognized as champions in two competencies: in “information modeling technology (BIM)” the 1st place was given to Alexey Bulatov, in competency “tiling” the 1st place was given to Mergenbaev Nurzhan. All participants won prizes: “information modeling technology (BIM)” the 2nd place won Zhunuskali Bekezhan, the 3rd place won Sychanova Darya, in competency “bricklaying” the 3rd place won Zhaksylyk Nurzhau, in “engineering graphics CAD” the 3rd place won Arupova Ramilya. All managers were awarded with certificate: Musatayeva Madina Ermekovna, Smagulova Lyazzat Amanzholovna, Saydaeva Zarina Erkinovna, Masimbayev Erbol Estemesovich, Nurgaliev Arman Yurevich.
Participants who won first place in the regional championship WorldSkills Kazakhstan Almaty 2019 got the opportunity to take part in the Republican championship, which will be held in October 2019 in Nur-Sultan city.
District championship “Jas Skills Auezov 2020”
The first district championship of professional skill according to the standards of "World Skills Kazakhstan" was held in Almaty on February 13-14, 2020, the event was dedicated to the year of volunteers in Kazakhstan.
The district competition (championship) of professional skills "Jas Skills" according to the standards of "World Skills Kazakhstan" in the Auezov district of Almaty was held in order to promote working professions, early career guidance for district school students and within the framework of the announced year of the volunteer. This event was held on the basis of state colleges in the Auezov district on February 13-14, 2020. The students were invited to the opening and closing ceremony at children and youth theatre named after N. Sats.
There were 16 competencies applications submitted, and on the competition platforms worked 88 participants, 15 chief experts, 15 deputy chief experts, 88 experts and 12 technical experts. Jas Skills championship is an authoritative event held all over the world, it is a competition of work performance activities and skills.
KazGASA College was represented by 8 participants in following competencies: tiling, bricklaying, information modeling technology (BIM), and graphic design. Chief expert - Amandykova D. A., deputy chief expert – Apsalieva Zh. A., technical expert – Ibraimova A. K., expert compatriot – Musatayeva M. E., expert compatriot – Omarkulova I. T., expert compatriot – Aibakhunova N. M.,in in the skill "building information modeling (BIM)", chief expert – Shamshieva, A. T., deputy chief expert – Mashimbayev E. E., expert compatriot – Pralyeva G. Zh., expert compatriot – Zhylkaidarov A. M., chief expert in the skill "tiling"– Sataev N. K., deputy chief expert – Kozhakhmetov Kh. S., technical expert in graphic design competency – Sekenova A. U.
According to the results of the championship our participants were honored as Champions in three competencies: the 1st place Yudin Alexander in competence "information modeling technology (BIM)", the 2nd place Tayanovich Alexander. In “tiling” competence: the 1st place Mazhit Baibekkhan, the 3rd place Abdoldanov Turarbek, in Graphic design the 1st place Marusich Kirill. All supervisors: Musatayeva M. E., Omarkulova I. T., Smagulova L. A., Praliev G. Zh., Zhylkaidarov A. M. were awarded with certificates.
Participants who won the 1st places in the regional championship "Jas Skills Auezov 2020" got the opportunity to take part in the regional championship "World Skills Kazakhstan", which will be held in April 2020 in Almaty.
