Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering invites the schoolchildren (grades 10-11) to take part in the OLYMPIAD "I WANT TO BECOME AN ARCHITECT !»
The Olympiad will be held on February 22, 2020 from 10-00a.m. to 14-00 a.m. in the rooms 559-567.(5th floor).
The purpose of the Olympiad is to identify applicants who have the potential to study architecture from among the talented students.
The first task is simple, but interesting. You need to draw plans and facades of monuments of the history of Kazakhstan’s architecture on a scale of 1:100 on a sheet of A3 paper. Here you will need to understand the scale to feel the basic dimensions and proportions.
The second task is aimed at identifying the participants' spatial thinking abilities. On a sheet of A3 paper, you need to draw geometric shapes such as a cube, a ball, and a cone, while it is necessary to emphasize the volumes of light and shade.
The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded diplomas giving the right to enroll in the faculty of Architecture of KazGASA, on a general basis for a discount on paying for the first year of studies of the 1st course: 1st place-100%, 2nd place-50%, 3rd place -25%. All other participants of the Olympiad will be awarded certificates with a 7% discount for tuition fees in the first semester of the first year of studies.
We invite schoolchildren from all regions of Kazakhstan to participate in the Olympiad!

Results of the Republican Subject Olympiad

On March14, 2019 at the Faculty of Architecture of the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering was held an annual Republican Subject Olympiad for students of the 3rd and 4th courses in the areas of «Architecture of residential and public buildings» and «Urban Planning».
The Olympiad was opened with a greeting speech of Dina A. Amandykova (Dean of the Department of Architecture, academic professor, candidate of architecture), she noted the importance of the event for participants and wished good luck in the contest.
The competition was participated by 55 students from five high schools of Republic of Kazakhstan: Kazakh Agro-Technical University named after S.Seifullin, Eurasian national university named after L.N.Gumileva and International Educational Corporation (KazGASA campus). All participants of the Olympiad demonstrated good preparation and high creative results.
Invited architects such as Nurken M. Bildebaev (Head of ASO-2, PI «Almatygiprogor-1»), A.I.Rustembekov (President of Union of Architects of RK), Arslan U. Abishev (Honorary Architect of Kazakhstan) took part in evaluating of student works.
Volunteers – Dydko Alexandra, Aitbakyeva Rano, Kapysheva Darya, Muhamadieva Aruzhan, Mamettohtaev Rishat (students of Architecture 17-6 group) and Farhadkyzy Symbat, Orakbaeva Meruert actively helped in carrying out the Olympiad.
As a result of the Republican Subject Olympiad in the section «Architecture of residential and public buildings», 3rd Course:

At the Faculty of Architecture of KazGASA was held the Olympiad
"I want to be an architect".
On February 23, 2019 at the Faculty of Architecture of KazGASA the Olympiad for pupils "I want to become an architect" was held. The results of the Olympiad are summed up. The jury of the competition determined the first three places for the winners, with the awarding of grants "Scholarships" by 100%, 50%, 25% discount on payment for the first year of studies. All other participants who have coped with the tasks of the Olympiad in full will be awarded certificates with 7% discount for the 1st semester of the 1st year of studies. Diplomas, certificates and memorable gifts will be awarded on March 2, 2019 in the Hall of Academic Council of KazGASA.
The Olympiad was participated by 117 high school students from Almaty, Almaty region, Atyrau, Shymkent, Taraz, Aktobe, Turkestan, Zharkent, Taldykorgan and others.
The winners of the Olympiad were:
I - place 100 % discount for the first year - Borisov Nikita - Almaty, KSU gymnasium №60.
II - place 50% discount for the first year - Karimzhanov Arman - Taldykorgan, USA № 2.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to identify potential applicants of KazGASA, including from among the capable graduates of colleges, with a further enrolment to the 2-3 course of bachelor's degree.
The task is clausura: “Individual two-storied house in modern style. The area is within 200-400 sq.m. Load-bearing structures a monolithic reinforced concrete frame (sheet of A2 ). The winners of the Olympiad , who entered the 2-3 courses of the faculty of Architecture will be awarded diplomas giving the right to enroll in the faculty of Architecture of KazGASA, on a general basis for a discount on paying for the first year of studies of the 1st course: 1st place-100%, 2nd place-50%, 3rd place -25%. All other participants of the Olympiad will be awarded certificates with a 7% discount for tuition fees in the first semester of the first year of studies.
