Corruption is one of the most dangerous negative social phenomena. It largely restricts the free operation of economic laws and undermines reputation of country in world’s imagining, is one of the main obstacles for its foreign profitable investments.

Today, the state authorities are implementing industry program on anti-corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025.

In the framework of this program are expanding international cooperation and improvement of national legislation on combating corruption, improving the efficiency of public authorities to reduce corruption risks, enhancing anti-corruption outlook and reducing the shadow economy.

In accordance with the Law "On Anti-corruption efforts" (hereinafter - the Law) by "corruption" is understood no statutory adoption of directly or indirectly property benefits and advantages of persons understood as extralegal taking, either personally or via intermediaries, of property benefits and advantages by the persons who perform state functions and also persons having equivalent status, where these persons use their official powers and opportunities associated with such powers, or other use by them of their powers for gaining property benefits, as well as tampering of these persons by way of unlawful provision of the above benefits and advantages by individuals and legal entities to them.
